Photography

Photography is one of my favorite ways to create art. I love how it combines communication and expression. It also helps me sharpen my curatorial and storytelling skills. Here are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken.

Tools used: Nikon D90, Nikon DX AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm 1:3.5-5.6, Nikon lens series E 50mm 1:1.8 (vintage, 35mm), Nikon FG, Lightroom Classic, Lightroom CC, Photoshop.

Jonathan

Jonathan

I took this photo of my husband Jonathan in Sedona, Arizona. We stopped here for a few days on a road trip from LA to Virginia in 2019.

Pear Cactus

Pear Cactus

I like to use a vintage 50mm Nikon lens sometimes. It helps me create this almost dream-like effect which I love.

Rhiannon

Rhiannon

This is my friend Rhiannon. We worked together at Holy Grounds Cafe and we had a little photography group with a few other coworkers.

Cactus

Cactus

This cactus was captured on 35mm film on my vintage Nikon FG. It was taken at the botanical gardens in Washington, DC.

Angel

Angel

This is my friend Angel in Chinatown, NYC. We were in a photography club together and would model for each other. During this particular shoot, there was a festival in town, adding even more fun lights to the already colorful street.

Jonathan II

Jonathan II

I took this photo on my honeymoon. We had been married for one week and we went to the top of a mountain to watch the sun set.

Brooklyn Bridge

Brooklyn Bridge

I took this photo while on a photo walk with my roommate when I lived in Manhattan. It’s a double exposure of the Brooklyn Bridge and the sunset reflecting off of buildings in downtown Manhattan.

Breelyn

Breelyn

This is my friend Breelyn. She was apart of the cafe photography group with Rhiannon and me. When this was taken, we were working on portraits and we were taking turns modeling and photographing.

Sedona

Sedona

Here is another photo from Sedona. We were driving around during the sunset and taking different photos of the rocks in the light. This photo was taken at the trailhead for one of the many hikes in the area.

Father and Son

Father and Son

Many people think that this is a couple- but it was actually a father and son duo. This was taken while I was watching the sunset at the Sedona airport.
